Poroshenko: Blockade of Donbass – “a real blow” to Ukraine
Most, allegedly, suffers the domestic industry
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the blockade ORDO caused great harm to the economy of Ukraine. He said this at the Council for regional development, stated in the message of the President on Twitter.
“As a result of the blockade, Ukraine has lost influence in its own territory. At the same time dealt a blow to domestic energy, metallurgy, for the budget”, – stressed the head of state.

“Blockade of Donbass is a real blow to Ukraine. First you feel the industry” – sends word Poroshenko’s press Secretary Svyatoslav Tsigalko.
Recall that in late January, Ukraine and some MPs initiated a blockade of the railway crossings, on which the anthracite is supplied from the temporarily uncontrolled territories for thermal power plants of Ukraine.
The embargo has jeopardized the supply of some industries and individual consumers.
On 15 February the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at an extraordinary meeting adopted a decision on the introduction of emergency measures on the electricity market, aimed at reducing the consumption of scarce coal of anthracitic group, ensuring full stability of the power system of the country.
On 1 March, the leaders of the terrorist organizations “DNR” and “LNR” declared on type “external control” all workers of Ukrainian enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass.
On 15 March the Council of national security and defense of Ukraine decided to temporarily suspend the movement of goods across the line of contact in the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
