Pompeo made an unplanned visit to Afghanistan

KIEV. July 10. UNN. Yesterday, US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo visited unannounced visit to the Afghan capital, Kabul. It is reported by UNN with reference to Anadolu.

In the framework of the visit the head of the American foreign Minister met with President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani.

At a press conference following the talks, Pompeo confirmed Washington’s support for the peace process in Afghanistan.

He stressed that the Taliban will fail to achieve its objectives in Afghanistan through armed struggle.

“Let the Taliban is not waiting for us (USA – ed) the withdrawal from Afghanistan,” he said.

As reported UNN, North Korea has expressed disappointment with the outcome of talks in Pyongyang with the participation of Secretary of state Mike Pompeo.
