KIEV. July 8. UNN. The President of the football Federation of Ukraine Andriy Pavelko writing appealed to FIFA and UEFA with the aim to protect the Croatian footballer domagoj Vida from possible sanctions for saying, “Glory to Ukraine”. This Pavelko reported on the personal page in Facebook.

“We quickly sent to the relevant bodies of FIFA and UEFA letters in order to protect not only the player for the Croatian national team, but, first and foremost, a person who has a right to their position and respect our country!!! And will play in the semifinals of the 2018 world Cup! Glory To Croatia! Glory To Ukraine!!!”, — wrote Pavelko.

He also noted that, in his opinion, and the whole of Croatia earned the right to play in the semifinals of the 2018 world Cup.

“The football Federation of Ukraine and I personally took a tough stance in the situation around the players of the national team of Croatia domagoj Vida after the team’s victory in the quarterfinals of the 2018 world Cup: its a great game and fighting qualities of the Species, like all of Croatia, has earned the right to participate in the semi-finals of the tournament!” — said the publication of the President of FFU.

Pavelko also said that in Ukraine there are many friends, supporters, and the player has every right to Express their opinion and respect for him.

As reported UNN, after the victory over the Russians at the world Cup, two players — the defender of Croatian domagoj Vida, along with former team player Ognjen Vukojević has recorded a video message with words of support for Ukraine.

“Glory to Ukraine, come on!” — said to a former player of the national team of Croatia Ognjen Vukojevic adds: “This win for Dynamo and Ukraine. Croatia, forward!”.

Later, the Russian journalists were forced to defend for their words. Answering their questions, he said that “this victory (against Russia) for Croatia.”

“No politics,” said the Croatian player.
