Participant of murder of the journalist Sergienko reported about suspicion to the office of the attorney General
KIEV. 6 Aug. UNN. The man is reported about suspicion in participation in a criminal organization that committed the abduction and murder of journalist Vasyl Serginko, one of the leaders of Euromaidan in city Korsun-Shevchenko in the Cherkassy region. It is reported by UNN citing the press-service of Office of public Prosecutor.
“In agreement of prosecutors of the attorney General’s Office investigators of the State Bureau of investigation is reported about suspicion to the person in participating in a criminal organization (part 1 of article 255 of the criminal code). Currently the question on election of a preventive measure in the form of detention”, – is spoken in the message.
According to investigators, the suspect in the structure of the criminal group has committed theft, torture and subsequent murder of journalist Vasily Sergiyenko, one of the leaders of Euromaidan in the Korsun-Shevchenko.
“4 April 2014, he was kidnapped from the yard of his house. The next day the body was found in the woods with signs of torture.
The defendants in the proceedings on this fact at the present time – six people, two are wanted. The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a period from 5 to 12 years”, – said in the message.
As reported UNN, the special investigative unit of the RRG on investigation “Affairs of the Maidan,” announced the suspicion of security officials and has directed to court business about murder of the journalist Vasily Sergiyenko.
