P. Poroshenko called Russia’s recognition of passports “DNI/LC” proof of occupation of Donbass

KIEV. 18 Feb. UNN. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the recognition of passports of self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR” violate international law and evidence of occupation of this part of Ukraine. He said this to journalists on Saturday in Munich after talks with Vice-President of the United States Mike pensions, the correspondent of UNN.

“I informed the Vice President of the United States about the decision on the recognition of passports of the self-proclaimed “LNR” and “DNR”. I believe that this is further proof of occupation and violations of international law”, – said P. Poroshenko.

We will remind, today, on February 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the recognition in Russia of the documents issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons residing in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.
