Operator “Nord stream-2” announced the completion of laying of 800 km gas pipeline

KIEV. March 1. UNN. The company-operator Nord Stream AG 2 stated that there are over 800 kilometres of pipeline “Nord stream-2”. This was reported on the website of the operator, reports UNN.

“More than 800 kilometres of pipeline already laid on the seabed in accordance with the permissions obtained in Germany, Finland, Sweden and Russia”, – stated in the message.

At the same time, it is noted that the ship Pioneering Spirit will suspend pipe-laying in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Sweden, to carry out planned work on another project on a drilling platform in the North sea.

“During the month the ship will return to the Baltic sea to continue the laying of the pipeline “Nord stream‑2″. Another period of demobilization provided later in the year,” said the operator.

Earlier it was reported that in the territorial waters of Germany and Finland already laid 100 km of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”.

As reported UNN, the operator “Nord stream-2” is called the only challenge to the project.

Recall, the Russian gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” is under construction to supply gas to Germany bypassing Ukraine. In Ukraine point to the politic of this project and that if the “Nord stream-2” is built, Russia will organize a series of provocations, in order to stop the transit through Ukraine.
