Oil spill in Norilsk: part harvested after the accident, fuel spilled into the river again
KIEV. 7 Aug. UNN. In Norilsk in the aftermath of the spill of diesel fuel at TPP-3 in the river Barn turned up to 250 liters of fuel. It is reported by the Federal Agency TASS and other Russian media, reports UNN.
When pumping the fuel and water mixture, which was collected from the river, damaged the pipeline, said TASS.
According to preliminary information of the company “Polytech” in the river got 1 cubic meter of fuel. The staff of Rosprirodnadzor, which are in the region, confirm these data.
It is noted that currently the Yenisei Interregional office of Rosprirodnadzor took control of the situation, organized oversight activities on the incident. Saturday will be held headquarters, which will decide on the departure of employees of Rosprirodnadzor and sampling.
“The spill is localized, the pipeline is disabled. Made the cleanup of this site with the excavation and processing of sorbent,” said the Agency in a press-service of the Norilsk-Taimyr energy company (part of Norilsk Nickel).
The Prosecutor’s office in Norilsk and SK in Krasnoyarsk region has begun check.
Add that Rosprirodnadzor estimated the environmental damage from the oil spill in Norilsk 148 billion rubles (more than $ 2 billion).
