Odessa activist, head of the local organization of the “Automaidan” Vitaly Ustimenko said that from the detention center released possible the organizer of the attempt on his life.

As UNIAN was reported by the activist, found out about it this week during familiarization with the case materials.

“One of the organizers of the attack on me released from prison. Now he is on the loose. All the witnesses in the case refused to testify. Just refused… in the absence in the case file sent to the court, the “organizer” of detainees performers Gavrilyuk and Rudenko (detained in September 2018, on suspicion of attempted murder – the UNIAN), the court can just acquit. No criminal group, no registered assassination,” said Volodya.

He said that the alleged “organizer” is another matter, but it may be involved in the assassination attempt on him.

The activist also added that he extended measures to provide state protection. He also believes that if his case will not pass from the Odessa police other investigation, it “will be ruined”.

As reported the UNIAN, the head of the local organization of the “Automaidan” Ustimenko often speaks out against the building of the coast, the historic center of Odessa and takes part in related protests.

In February 2018, he was attacked in the premises of the Solomenskiy district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov in connection with the alleged misappropriation of funds of the local budget when buying the city Council the building of the plant “region”. Ustimenko were among activists opposed to the Trukhanov.

At the end of September the Prosecutor of Odessa region Oleg Zhuchenko declared that militiamen detained two suspects in the attack on Ustimenko, one in the Donetsk region, another – in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

At the court hearing in Odessa on election of a preventive measure, a suspect of Dnipropetrovsk region, claimed that he and another detainee, the soldiers of the 54th mechanized brigade APU. Both defendants were placed in jail without the right of bail.

Zhuchenko later told reporters that one of those arrested is a deserter.
