KIEV. March 10. UNN. European scientists have found evidence of a link between the development of obesity and the probability of occurrence of the nine forms of cancer. This is stated in the journal BMJ, reports UNN.
The researchers analyzed results and experimental data of more than 200 scientific papers which examined the link between obesity and cancer. It turned out that the nine forms of this terrible disease are more likely to occur in people who are overweight.
Irrespective of the weight forms of cancer or are associated with the digestive system (cancer of the rectum, stomach, esophagus or colon), or with hormones (cancer of the kidney, pancreas, and breast, uterine and blood cancer).
