The man dropped a piece of the wall

The incident occurred last night in the Odessa region in Nerubayske catacombs. The caver fell a piece of the wall, he fell into a flooded course and broke his leg. After he was not contacted at the right time, to help him departed comrades and rescue service. This is reported in gschs.
Caver Vladislav Maslenko have time to move away from the entrance one kilometer, when underneath the roof collapsed between the first and second tier. The man fell into the flooded course, his leg was pinned under a piece of the wall.
The man managed to dig a hole under a fallen rock, and crawl away. Before the visit to the catacombs he just announced where he is going and when to get in touch. When that didn’t happen, comrades called the rescue and went to the catacombs.

To get speleologist, they had to make a tunnel under a rock. The rescue operation took two hours. Now the victim is in the hospital.
Rescuers say that the man went into the catacombs it is prepared: he had a first aid kit, food, water and extra light. Also he left their exact position and agreed to call the control time.
Nerubayske catacombs, a popular tourist place. They are known since the XIX century, when they quarried stone. During the Second world war they served as shelter to the local guerrillas. There now lead guided tours. Single visits are not recommended due to the fact that until now the catacombs is not fully understood, and it’s easy to get lost.
