The representative of the international Committee of the Federation Council of Russia Sergey Tsekov stated claims US senators who are trying to stop the construction of the Russian gas pipeline “Nord stream-2”.

Recently US senators sent a letter to the German operator of the port of Mukran with a demand to cease cooperation with the “Northern stream-2”. They threatened the Germans hard with sanctions for the help in storage of pipes for gas pipeline.
“Senators largely exceed their duties and powers,” – said Tsekov.
He expressed the opinion that the American legislators suffer from “delusions of grandeur”.
Senator of the Russian Federation expressed hope that Germany will not yield to Washington’s demands. In addition, he is confident that the pipeline will be eventually built.
