“Our experts have added detection and protection against new malware known as Ransom:Win32.WannaCrypt. Previously, “Kaspersky Lab” reported that at present, the company’s experts analyze samples of malicious software to establish the possibility of decryption. A company spokesman explained that the attack occurred through network vulnerability Microsoft Security Bulletin MS17-010.
To reduce the risks of infection, the companies are recommended to install a special patch from Microsoft and to ensure that protection is enabled on all nodes of the network, and run a scan of critical areas in the protective solution.
