Maduro has compared himself with Hussein – only alive

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Friday compared himself with the former President of Iraq Saddam Hussein, who was executed after the overthrow of the regime with the participation of the United States.
“I’m similar to Saddam Hussein live Saddam Hussein,” said Maduro, speaking in Caracas. His statement was broadcast on national television. As noted by RIA “Novosti”, he was dressed in camouflage uniform and red airborne beret.
Hussein, who also loved military uniform, was ousted in April 2003 after the invasion of Iraq, coalition troops led by the US and Britain. The Supreme court of Iraq has charged him with the death in 1982 of 148 villagers of al-dujayl. He was sentenced to death, the sentence was executed in late December 2006.
In Venezuela since early April, are mass protests after the Supreme court’s decision to severely limit the power of the national Assembly – the Parliament of the country. Opposition supporters took to the streets demanding the resignation of the members of the court, and hold early elections. They also oppose the constituent Assembly, considering it an attempt to change the Constitution. According to official data, during months of protests in clashes with militiamen killed more than 90 people.
