Logitech introduced a set of tools for developers Bridge, which is intended to show a physical keyboard in the virtual space. The kit itself includes a gaming keyboard, scanner Vive Tracker app for porting signals from gadgets in virtual reality. It allows you to type text in the usual way, without leaving the digital world.

The need to transfer the traditional keyboard in the virtual world was an unpleasant surprise when you develop commercial software in this area. It turned out that even the login or password when connecting to the game or arbitrary service creates difficulties for users. The complaints came from users of office software – data entry in the usual way remains vital to the use of the software.

Logitech offers to draw in the digital space analog of a real keyboard, to track the movement of the fingers of the user and transfer them to virtual reality. This functionality is already implemented in the form of ready blocks of code and is compatible with applications for SteamVR. Developers only have to integrate it into their products, and then find a use for it in various games and applications.
