In Minsk on Friday, August 14 continued mass protests over the re-election of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. About 15 thousand people came to the government House.

Minsk residents came to the government House several columns. One of them consisted of employees of the Minsk tractor plant. They chanted “Go away” and “Tribunal”, and also urged the authorities to account for the dispersal of rallies.

It is noteworthy that the security forces did not interfere with the movement of the protesters and tried to disperse the rally. Riot police guarding the government House, lowered the shields, after which the participants of the procession rushed to hug them.

Protesters demand revision of results of presidential elections in which, according to the CEC, Aleksandr Lukashenko won with 80% of the votes. The public accuses the government of massive fraud.

Earlier Диалог.UA reported that Lukashenko made an urgent appeal to the people: “I’m still alive.”
