Dramatic footage has emerged showing a once green landscape covered in gray ash following the deadly eruption of the Fuego volcano in Guatemala.

The video gives a bird’s eye view of the tragedy facing local residents. The area shown is mostly desolate, with just a few people – potentially rescue teams – spotted in the footage.

The Fuego volcano first erupted on Sunday, with a second one taking place on Tuesday. At least 99 people have been killed and around 300 others injured. More than 100 others remain missing. The eruption is the volcano’s biggest in four decades, and Guatemala’s deadliest since 1902.
