Lada on the bridge: Duchess Maria Romanova arrived in occupied Crimea

KIEV. June 3. UNN. The head of the Imperial House of Romanov, Maria Vladimirovna and her son George Mikhailovich the LADA Largus cars drove on Saturday on the Crimean bridge. It is reported TASS with reference to the official representative of the office of the Romanovs in the Crimea Vladislav Pilkevich, reports UNN.

“Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna and Grand Duke George Mikhailovich of Russia passed by the Crimean bridge. Started at 11:30 GMT. The desire of the Imperial family was to pass by the bridge on the Russian machine – it was LADA Largus. The Grand Duke personally drove the car, carrying his mother, the head of the Imperial house,” he said.

The visit of the Duchess and her son in occupied Crimea began on may 28 and will last until 3 June. They managed to visit Kerch, Simferopol, Feodosia and Sevastopol.

It is reported that the visit of the Romanovs dedicated “support the legal choice of the inhabitants of the Peninsula, which they did in March 2014, voted in a referendum for reunification with Russia”.

Maria Vladimirovna is the only child from the marriage of Vladimir Kirillovich Romanov, head of the Russian Imperial house in exile (the son of the Russian Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich proclaimed himself in 1924, the Emperor in exile) and Princess Leonida Bagration-Mukhrani. In the statement of the official representative of the EU noted that the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait in the Crimea is yet another violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
