The mobile operator is obliged to disclose them upon request of officials

“Kyivstar” has lost a lawsuit against the Antimonopoly Committee.

The cassation economic court upheld last week the ACU, said in an interview LIGA.net state Commissioner of the Committee Maria Pricesin.

It was a question of dispute whether the Kyivstar to disclose to the ACU personal data about subscriber activity.

The dispute began in 2015. AMC filed a case against PJSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”, which was then suspected collusion in biddings for the supply of equipment. Employees of the AMC and has requested data about participants of the tender from “Kyivstar”. They wanted to get meta information, not the contents of the conversations and SMS. That is, the time and place, the call duration, the numbers on both sides of the conversation. Kyivstar has consistently refused to give information. The trial began that Kyivstar lost.

Note, in July of this year Kyivstar lost the case on per second billing. The mobile operator could not challenge a penalty by the Antimonopoly Committee on 21 million UAH.
