The foreign Ministry of Ukraine expressed its support for the UK in the case of the poisoning of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and called on all countries to boycott the world Cup, to be held this summer. This is stated in the statement of the foreign Ministry Pavel Klimkin.

The statement said that, given the British intelligence services and taking into account the lack of response from the Russian side, Ukraine was “ready to support the Prime Minister that it is likely the handiwork of the Kremlin.”

Klimkin noted that Ukraine assured the United Kingdom in readiness to join the strong international reaction to the incident in the British Salisbury.

“It seems that this is really the alarm bell that should Wake up the West, at least I certainly hope so. Now the West must react in a manner that would make Russia feel the consequences of their actions,” – said Klimkin.

The Minister stressed that Russia has no right to host the world Cup. According to him, would be preferable to deprive Russia of the right to hold this event. “If this is impossible to do because of lack of time, urge all Nations and freedom-loving people who appreciate rules and order, to boycott the championship,” – said the Minister.

“The free world must take a very tough stance and act in a very decisive way that Russia understood that no one will tolerate those criminal terrorist methods that she uses. It must be done now before it is too late”, – said Klimkin.
