KIEV. June 11. UNN. Decided the format for the upcoming season of women’s soccer in the Champions League. Ukrainian city will host one of the qualifying stages of the tournament, reports UNN citing the website of UEFA.

In the women’s Champions League 2018/2019 will take part 60 clubs representing 48 national associations. 20 teams got a direct ticket to the 1/16 finals. These are representatives of eight associations with the highest rating (for two clubs), as well as the Champions of the countries occupying the places from the 9th to the twelfth (Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria and Norway).

The remaining 12 participants of 1/16-th will be determined in the qualifying round, which will be held from 7 to 13 August on the sidelines of the 10 clubs. 40 teams will be divided into four, and omissions in the playoffs will get the group winners and two best teams, took second place.

One of the hosts of the qualifying tournament will be the champion of Ukraine – Kharkov “Zhilstroy-1” which came in the second seeding pot in the draw. The draw for this stage will take place on 22 June in Nyon.

Note that the final of the women’s Champions League will take place on may 18, 2019 at the stadium “red star” in Budapest.
