In Zaporozhye three patrol suspected of torture driver

KIEV. 19 Jan. UNN. In Kiev Prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings against three employees of the patrol police suspected of torture the driver of the car. About this on his page in Facebook reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrey Lysenko, reports UNN.

“The Prosecutor’s office of Zaporozhye region reported about suspicion, three patrol officers, who tortured and abused citizens with the help of special equipment”, — stated in the message.

As noted, their actions are qualified under two articles: part 2 of article 127 (torture, committed on preliminary arrangement by group of persons), part 2 of article 365 (excess of authority or official powers if it was accompanied by violence, use of weapons or painful and offending personal advantage of the victim actions) of the criminal code of Ukraine.

Found that on a stationary post of the police “Zaporozhye-North”, while on duty, a patrol stopped a vehicle and for unknown reasons, the driver put on the handcuffs and beaten with rubber truncheons (the doctors counted the marks from 13 blows to his body). Moreover, the victim more than 6 hours forcibly kept on the streets at night, restricted movement. The driver also was not allowed to warm up inside the post, eat, forbidden to communicate with relatives and lawyer.

Now the issue of electing a suspect measure of restraint.

Recall that in one of settlements of the Kamensko-Dnepr district of Zaporozhye region two pensioners had been tortured for money, the man died and his wife is in hospital in serious condition.
