The head of the faction just Russia Sergei Mironov has developed a draft law on criminal responsibility “for the distortion of history and an insult to the memory of the veterans of the great Patriotic war in Russia and abroad”. About it reports Deutsche Welle.

“The new legislative initiative applies not only to Russians, but also foreign citizens”, – said Mironov in Moscow today.

As punishment for foreign citizens, the Deputy-spravedlivoross has proposed a monetary penalty, a ban on entry to Russia, the seizure of Russian property and personal arrest.

He noted that to prepare the bill it prompted the events of may 9 in Ukraine.

Mironov said that “insulting the memory of war veterans” is, according to him, extremist activities, which need to prosecute.
