Today, the port of Taman (Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation) from poisoning with methyl alcohol died two citizens of Ukraine, who worked as sailors on the ship “Magus” under the flag of Panama.

The Captan of the ship reported to emergency services that the mate and a sailor second class were poisoned by drinking alcohol.
It is also said that by the time of arrival of the medical team one of the victims was already in a coma, a second was in serious condition. Both victims later died in hospital.
In the port of Taman, said that the tanker at the time of the incident was outside the territorial waters of Russia and remains there still. “It was not in the port. They were generally beyond the borders of the territorial waters (beyond 12 miles from shore),” – said the source, adding that the port, according to current data, has not received any applications for the service of the vessel.
UNIAN far failed to comment on reports in the Russian media about the death of two Ukrainian sailors nor the Department of consular service or in the press service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
