In the Odessa region SBU exposed the systematic bribery of the head of regional Department of police
KIEV. 22 Feb. UNN. Employees of SBU exposed the systematic obtaining illegal benefit by the head of one of structural divisions of regional Department GU of the national police in the Odessa region. This was reported to UNN in the press service of the SBU.
Operatives of the intelligence services established that the Deputy chief of Department – the chief of criminal police demanded money from local residents for seamless transfer across the state border of excisable goods. Cost of services the attacker was one hundred dollars for each vehicle with an illegal cargo.
Law enforcement officials detained on one of streets of the regional center after receiving five hundred dollars for crossing the state border of the five cars. Informed field investigators of SBU documented fact of receiving a police officer of illegal benefit in the amount of six hundred U.S. dollars.
In the framework of the open criminal proceedings under part 3 St. 368 Criminal code of Ukraine are continuing investigations to establish all the circumstances of the case and the prosecution of others involved in illegal activities.
Events to expose the attacker was held in conjunction with the military Prosecutor’s office and Territorial RRG, located in the city of Odessa.
