Sunday, October 29, the guards at the mouth of the Danube detained two poachers caught huge white sturgeon, which is listed in the Red book. Fish was 2.5 meters in length and weighed more than 100 kg. it is reported by the press center of the state border service.
“Not to be caught, the poachers tried to get rid of fish illegally caught, but discarded fish immediately surfaced, as it was dead. In the future, in a boat found 4 fishing nets with a length of 300 meters, also found that men had at itself the documents confirming their faces, and the boat is not assigned to any of the berths”, – stated in the message.
The fish, the boat and the forbidden tools of fishing are transferred to the police in the prescribed manner. Two citizens drawn up protocols on administrative offences, their further destiny will be decided by the court.
