In the Odessa region from complications as the result of measles, two persons died. This was confirmed by laboratory, said the Director of the health Department of Odessa regional state administration Vyacheslav Polesny.
Died of pneumonia five-month-old child. Judging by history, the disease he received at children’s hospital.
In the second case, the newborn died within 12 hours after birth. He got it from mother, who was diagnosed with measles, but she voluntarily left the hospital.
Since the beginning of 2018 in the region of laboratory confirmed five deaths from complications of measles.
The head of the regional state administration Maxim Stepanov appealed to the Ministry of health to provide vaccine at the end of January had 12 thousand doses of the vaccine.
