The evening of March 25 broke out vegetation from cogoleto on the North-West of Italy. Distribution of fire was promoted by wind gusts to 100 km/h the Authorities had to close for the passage section of the A10 motorway between the towns of Varazze and Arenzano, but some of the cars fell into the trap: they stopped at the exit of the tunnel, in front of which was a wall of fire and firestorm blew the spark on the car. No one was injured, but people do not understand why they were not warned about the danger, informs television channel Sky TG24.
The fire threatened homes. Rescuers evacuated from a dangerous area 50 families. In extinguishing the fire were involved 60 firefighters and 30 volunteers.
On 26 March the situation has improved. The fire destroyed 12 hectares of vegetation still remains in some places, but the threat to the population over. Traffic on the highway was resumed.
The meteorological service warned of strong winds in the Northern and Central Apennines. In the absence of rain for a long time in Northern areas where there is a threat of drought, strong winds can lead to the spread of forest fires, said the Agency TASS.
