Uncategorized December 13, 2017NABU called groundless the statement of the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko on what action Bureau detectives allegedly “interfere in a legal war with the aggressor”. About it reports a press-service of NABOO.
We are talking about the reaction Petrenko on a search of the building of the Ministry of justice, which held recently the employees of the NABU in the framework of the investigation of possible corruption in the Ministry. The Minister saidthat “the search in the office of the Ombudsman (Ombudsman of Ukraine in the European court of human rights – ed.), which has a privacy setting set by the jurisdiction of the European court on these materials,” supposedly is in the nature of threats to national security.
NABU said that information about the possible withdrawal of detectives of the original documents, which, according to Petrenko, has a lawsuit against Rosneft in the ECHR, is not true.
In a statement, the Bureau said that the decision of the court assumes the removal of only those documents that are relevant to the investigation of NABOO.
“We emphasize, the detectives NAB are not withdrawn or tried to withdraw the Ministry of justice of Ukraine the documents on which the European court of human rights has been classified “confidential”, the statement reads.
8 December 2017, Deputy Minister of justice Natalia Bernatsky announcedthat detectives NABOO came with a search warrant in the justice Ministry allegedly without a court order. In this regard, the Ministry appealed to the GPU with a statement “about crime.”
NABU also saidthat he came to the Ministry of justice with urgent search for justified concerns that official agencies may have time to destroy documents, which give employees the Ministry previously ordered by the court. Indeed, according to the statement of NABOO, sabinene of the Ministry of justice were found fragments of the required documents, the second part of this evidence was discovered during a search of the home of one of the officials of the Ministry.
The searches connected with the case of possible embezzlement of more than 54 million UAH.
