In the Centre of reproduction of rare species of animals of the Moscow zoo was born the Sichuan takin.

This was reported by “Moscow 24” with reference to data of the press service of the zoo.
It is noted that the takin live in China, Tibet, Nepal and North East India. A newborn female is the representative of China’s Sichuan province, this species is listed in the Red book as endangered.
Previously, the FAN reported that the Director of the Fund for the protection of urban animals Ekaterina Dmitriev proposed to make the reserve of the Moscow zoo.
