According to engine number it is established that the plane was shot down on 26 March 1943.
Also found out the name of the deceased pilot — Peter Acevez. His remains will be extracted from the wreckage. It is also planned to find his relatives.
Earlier the newspaper “Neva news” reported that searchers found the remains of 17 victims on the Sinyavino heights in Saint Petersburg.
