One of the founders of NTV Igor Malashenko found dead in Spain.

Political consultant and former media Manager, colleague, businessman Vladimir Gusinsky, died on 65-m to year of life. According to some, he killed himself, although official confirmation of this information yet.

“I confirm that Igor Malashenko died”, – reported “Interfax” the chief editor of “Echo of Moscow” Alexei Venediktov. In his Telegram channel, he cited the words of Vladimir Gusinsky, who learned about care Malashenko of life: “I’m in shock. I am very hurt. Nothing more to say.”

Journalist Ksenia Sobchak in an interview to “Vedomosti” also confirmed the death Malashenko, noting that it was a suicide. “Thank him for our joint work on the presidential campaign. Thought he was decent and very creative. Proud that he was the head of my staff,” wrote Sobchak in his Telegram channel.

Spanish police have not yet notified the Russian side about the death Malashenko, have informed in consular Department of Embassy of Russia in Spain.

As reminds “Kommersant”, in mid-February it was reported about the hospitalization of Igor Malashenko in Latvia in connection with neurological disease. Malashenko wife Bozena of Rynska 10 days ago, wrote in his Instagram that Malashenko was hospitalized after the scandal with his ex-wife Elena Pivovarova, with which it was difficult divorce process.

Igor Malashenko graduated in 1976 the faculty of philosophy of Moscow state University and in 1980 from the graduate school. Was one of the founders of NTV, as well as the CEO rgtrk Ostankino. In 1996, he was chief adviser to the election campaign of the candidate in presidents of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin. In January 1997, Malashenko became one of the founders of ZAO “Media-most”, was a member of the Board of Directors of the company, which unites the assets of businessman Vladimir Gusinsky. In the years 2001-2009 Malashenko was the CEO of channel RTVI.

In 2017 it a few months led the election headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak during the presidential election.
