In Odessa will judge the man suspected of recruiting for military cooperation with Russia

KIEV. January 10. UNN. Odessa oblast Prosecutor’s office sent to court indictment against 53-year-old suspect, who was preparing treason. As reported in the press service, the suspect offered the Ukrainian servicemen confidential cooperation with the secret service of the Russian Federation, reports UNN.

“It is established that the inhabitant of Odessa in 2014 went to the temporarily occupied territory are the Crimea, where he began to collaborate with representatives of a foreign state.

Then he returned to Odessa and invited the Ukrainian serviceman confidential cooperation with the secret service of the Russian Federation. For a fee the man had to collect secret information in the military sphere to the detriment of national security of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.

The prosecutors said that the results of the operation of bodies of the security Service of Ukraine in Odessa region under the procedural leadership of regional Prosecutor’s office detained the recruiter.

Now at the request of prosecutors, a man is in custody.

Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of Management of SBU in the region (paragraph 1 of article 14, part 1 of article 111 of the criminal code of Ukraine).

Recall that in 2018, 46 Ukrainians have been implicated in cases of treason.
