KIEV. May 31. UNN. The Prosecutor General’s office sent to court indictment against three former leaders of structural subdivisions of the MIA of Ukraine in Odessa region for the malpractice that led to the massive loss of life on may 2, 2014. About this on his page in Facebook wrote a representative of the Prosecutor General Andrei Lysenko, reports UNN.
“The Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine 30.05.2018, the results of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the facts of inadequate execution of official duties by law enforcement officials to ensure the protection of public order 02.05.2014 during the procession and encountered the following mass riots in Odessa, which entailed grave consequences, in Primorsky district court of Odessa sent the indictment against three former leaders of structural subdivisions of the MIA of Ukraine in Odessa region”, – wrote to Lysenko.
According to him, former heads of a municipal government, a regiment of patrol service and the Department of public safety of gumvd of Ukraine in Odessa region are accused of committing a criminal offense under part 2 St. 364 criminal code of Ukraine, namely: abuse of office, that is intentional, with the purpose of obtaining for themselves undue advantage of non-property nature the use by a person of official position by deliberate inaction contrary to the interests of the service, which entailed grave consequences, namely the death of 48 people, the 197 persons receiving injuries of varying severity, causing material damage in the amount of nearly 214 thousand UAH.
In addition, the former head of the municipal office and a regiment of patrol service is charged with committing a criminal offense under part 3 of article 135 of the criminal code of Ukraine, that is the deliberate failure to assist persons in life-threatening condition and deprived of opportunities to take action for self-preservation due to helpless condition, if the one who was left without help, was obliged to take care of these individuals and could provide them with assistance that led to the death of 42 people.
Accused the court elected a measure of restraint in the form of personal commitment.
We will remind, earlier the results of the investigation of the above criminal proceedings in respect of events 02.05.2014 Odessa, Primorsky district court of Odessa the indictment focused on charges the former chief of gumvd of Ukraine in Odessa region in the criminal offences stipulated by part 3 of article 135, part 2 of article 364, part 1 St. 366 criminal code of Ukraine under which there is a trial.
In addition it is reported about suspicion and declared wanted by the former Deputy chief of gumvd of Ukraine in Odessa region in the criminal offences stipulated by part 3 of article 135, part 2 of article 364, part 1 of article 365 of the criminal code of Ukraine.
It was also sent to the court indictment against three former employees of gumvd of Ukraine in Odessa region part 1 of article 365, part 1 of article 367 of the criminal code on the fact of illegal dismissal 04.05.2018 with IVS gumvd of Ukraine in Odessa region 64 people detained 02.05.2014 during mass riots in Odessa.
Criminal proceedings on the facts of mass riots 02.05.2014 Odessa committed this murder and other crimes, as well as the facts of improper performance of their duties by officials of the regional Department for emergency situations was investigated and investigated by the investigation units of the National police.
