Today in Odessa the security Service of Ukraine exposed on the systematic bribery of the leadership of the local detention facility.
About this UNIAN reported in a press-service of management of security service of Odesa region.
“Operatives of the intelligence service established that the intruders systematically demanded from prisoners and their relatives illegal benefit for “softening” of conditions of the sentence. Security officers found that officials to put pressure on prisoners deliberately kept them in solitary confinement or transferred to the chambers where they were threatened with physical violence so-called “supervisor” who worked for the administration of the institution,” – said the press service.

It is noted that law enforcement officers documented the fact of detention in solitary confinement of one of the suspects, which the attackers demanded 2 thousand dollars. His relatives had to transfer this amount on a Bank card. A preliminary check established that only in 2018 on this card received more than 2.3 million UAH.
“During carrying out the authorized searches in the place of work and residence of defendants in the case, the police seized Bank cards, mobile phones, one thousand dollars and sixty thousand hryvnias and documents confirming the unlawful actions of personnel of the penitentiary system,” – said the press service.
The two intruders were detained according to article 208 of the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine.
Continues pre-trial investigation, which is carried out by territorial office of the State Bureau of investigation.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in Zaporozhye two officials were detained on a bribe in 700 thousand UAH.
