The police seized the blend for hookahs in stock foreign production / photo UNIAN Odessa law enforcement officers seized illegal mix of Smoking hookahs on 12 million UAH.
As reported the UNIAN in regional management of protection of economy of the National police of Ukraine, January 23, operatives of the Agency together with the staff of the SFS carried out the authorized search in non-residential premises.
The result of the search found and seized 20 tons of tobacco, in particular, blend for hookahs in stock foreign production. On all boxes there is an inscription: “FOR DUTY FREE SALE ONLY” (“Only for sale in Duty Free”).

It is also noted that there was no documentation confirming the legal movement of goods across the state border of Ukraine. The value of the seized more than 12 million hryvnias.
Currently an investigation is ongoing under part 1 of article 199 (manufacture, possession, acquisition, transport, transfer, import to Ukraine with a sales objective or sale of counterfeit money, public securities or state lottery tickets), article 204 (illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation with a sales objective of excise goods) the Criminal code of Ukraine. Procedural management is performed by Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region.
