This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region. In 2015, being in Odessa and periodically visiting Nikolaev configured radically negatively to the current government, the defendant entered into a terrorist group.
It included five men who were involved in the development of plans for the destruction of strategic objects, destabilization socially-a political situation in the two areas, intimidation of the population by terrorist attacks using homemade explosives.
During the searches, one of them law enforcement officers found in the garage an improvised explosive device with a detonator. This explosives the attackers had intended to operate in Nikolaev.
The group was exposed by employees of USBU in Odessa region. The above defendant was arrested on 5 July 2015.
The man was charged with participation in activity of terrorist group, preparing to commit a terrorist act, the acquisition and possession of an explosive device, he was sentenced to 7 years and 8 months of imprisonment.
The trial against five other members of the terrorist group continues.
