In Odessa, about fifty people, citizens and cadets of the naval forces of Ukraine held a March in honor of the centennial of the Ukrainian revolution. As reported LIGA.net one of the marchers Vitaly Ustimenko, this is the first action of Odesa citizens on the occasion of the events of a century ago.
He noted that the organizers, unfortunately, failed to negotiate with the leadership of the military schools about the participation of students in the event. But a few dozen cadets came to the March on their own.
“In fact, heads of military educational institutions themselves must take the initiative in this matter, because 2017 is determined by the decree of the President as the year of the Ukrainian revolution. And if the initiative from the public, they must maintain it,” he said.
According to Ustimenko, the following proposal of the public management of military units and educational institutions will be the course of public lectures on the history of Ukraine for the military and cadets.
