As the press service of the police of Odessa region on the night of 24 March, the driver of the BMW, moving in the direction of Gagarin Boulevard, lost control and collided with a parked Hyundai Sonata. After that, he crashed into a support power lines.
In the accident, 33-year-old passenger of the car died on the spot. 22-year-old driver was hospitalized in intensive care, where he later died.

According to eyewitnesses, from strong blow the BMW, which was moved, as expected, at a considerable speed, caught fire and it “literally torn to pieces.” The front part of the cars burned, fragments of the car scattered on some tens metres. Considerable damages were received by electric pylon, which from collapse retained near standing tree.
At the time of registration of road accident militiamen have blocked the passage of Shevchenko Avenue.
