In Odessa and suburbs in connection with the military situation of checkpoints and patrols of facilities of strategic importance from today strengthened by cynologists with guard dogs.

As reported the UNIAN in Department of communications Department of National police in the Odessa region, Friday, December 7, dogs provide practical assistance to law enforcement officers to maintain public safety and order and road safety, crime prevention and combating crime.

Now experts service dog and their dogs focus on stationary checkpoints around Odessa – “Tsentrolit”, “Two pillar”, “Country”, and in Odessa on the territory of the railway station, the international airport “Odessa” and Central bus station.

“Checking citizens and cars special attention paid to the presence of dangerous objects or illegal substances,” – said in the Chapter.

As said the Deputy head of the regional Central Directorate of national police Sergey Makhotin, patrolling is conducted around the clock.

He also added that law enforcement agencies take measures to increase outfits serving in the city. In this regard, the patrols involved the students of the University of internal Affairs and Academy of the Armed forces of Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine November 28, entered into force a law approving the presidential decree “On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine” for 30 days in the territories of the 10 areas, located along the Russian border and the Transnistrian segment of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and along the coast of the Black and Azov seas.

Introduced in Vinnytsia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson regions and in the internal waters of Ukraine the Azov-Kerch water area until December 26th.

In the Odessa region has 31 posts, of which 7 are fixed and 24 mobile, they are placed on state roads and at the entrances to the regional center.
