According to doctors, the child’s death was caused by measles pneumonia.
The child had complications from measles / photos of TSNV Odessa due to complications from measles year-old child died.

As reported the UNIAN in Department of health of the Odessa city Council, Odessa city today at the infectious diseases hospital, the boy died, born in 2017.

“The child – the inhabitant of Odessa, 1 year, 3 months, death was caused by measles pneumonia. At the time of admission to the hospital had information about prior contact with patients with measles”, – reported in Department.

It is noted that the earlier a child is ill with bronchitis, which was treated at another medical institution (in the Suvorovsky district of Odessa), where he had contact with sick with measles. Then he was sent to the infectious diseases hospital, where was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia.

According to the representative of the Department, as a result of infection with measles virus the boy had repeated pneumonia, leading to death.

It is noted that the child had a routine vaccination.
