This is the second visit of the ship to the city
In the port of Odessa moored missile frigate of the French Navy Lafayette. It is reported by the Duma.
The purpose of the visit was exchange of experience between the personnel of a frigate of the French Navy and Ukrainian sailors in the organization of vocational training on ships.
The ship was greeted by U153 missile boat “Pryluky” and on the dock French sailors expected the commander of the naval forces of Ukraine Vice-Admiral Igor Voronchenko.
“Lafayette” is the bear patrol, ensuring the safety of navigation and participation in the settlement of crises outside Europe. The length of the “Lafayette” — 125 m, the crew of 164 people.

Since the end of January, the ship performs the tasks of command in the waters of the Eastern Mediterranean. Immediately after the visit to Odessa will travel to his native Toulon.
