KIEV. 7 Aug. UNN. The Kiev district court of Odessa chose a measure of restraint in form of detention for a man for cruelty to animals. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine, reports UNN.
“Today, for the first time in the history of Ukraine Kyiv police Department in Odessa GUNP in the Odessa region declared a citizen suspected of a crime under part 3 of article 299 of the criminal code (cruelty to animals) and filed a motion on the measure of restraint in form of detention. Kyiv court of the Odesa city just elected a measure of restraint in form of detention without the right to bail”, – stated in the message.
The press service noted that this is really the first case holding a person accountable for the offence.
Recall that the Kyiv Prosecutor’s office sent to court indictment against the Kiev on charges of animal cruelty.
