In Latvia has proposed to recognize the Russian media registered as a foreign agent
Uncategorized December 4, 2017KIEV. 4 Dec. UNN. In Latvia, was a petition calling to adopt a law that will consolidate for broadcasting on Russia channels the status of foreign agents, reports UNN with reference to “Izvestia”.
A petition for the introduction of legislative amendments last week registered the Raymond Lejnieks-Bunch, member of the Board of the Latvian social democratic workers ‘ party (LSDRP), which acts as the initiator of the struggle with the Russian media. The document is available on manabalss.lv — official platform for social initiatives, where citizens can gather the necessary 10 thousand signatures for transmitting the document to the Sejm (handled by administration of the site after it is published).
In the petition require to secure for the Russian TV channels broadcasting in the territory of Latvia, status, registered as foreign agents and to deprive them of the possibility to show in its commercials for national political parties and state-owned enterprises (the petition is at the disposal of “Izvestia”).
As reported UNN, the Russian state Duma has allowed to recognize foreign agents and foreign media.
