In Kiev will be judged doctors for extortion of bribes from ATO
KIEV. March 29. UNN. The court filed charges against doctors suspected of extorting bribes from the ATO for a determination of disability. It is reported by UNN citing the press-service of Prosecutor’s office of Kiev.
“Kyiv Prosecutor’s office, local No. 5 sent to the court indictment in relation to the doctor-expert of the Central military-medical Commission of the MOU and head of the Central MSEK №1 of the Kyiv city center for medical and social assistance, which demanded and received 1,5 thousand dollars of the USA of a bribe from the ATO. The man received a leg injury during fighting in the Donbass. For this price, the doctors promised him to set up a disability group”, – stated in the message.
The Ministry recalled that the attackers were detained in the workplace after receiving these funds.
During searches to addresses of residence and workplaces of suspects found and withdrew money in the amount equivalent to 135 thousand dollars and more than 20 envelopes containing medical records of persons who have filed for disability with funds in the amount of from 700 to 1500 dollars.
“The results of the testing of individuals whose medical records were discovered in the course of the investigations, one of the suspects additionally charged with another episode of receiving a bribe in the amount of $ 800 for disability,” – said the Prosecutor’s office.
The results of the investigation on March 29 indictment in criminal proceedings under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine and part 5 article 27, part 3 of article 368 UK of Ukraine directed for consideration in essence in court. Kiev.
In addition, during pre-judicial investigation also found evidence of committing criminal offences under part 3 of article 368, part 3 of article 369, part 4 of article 358 of the criminal code of Ukraine.
