KIEV. 7 Aug. UNN. In Kharkov on 4 August 2018 was imported case of malaria from the citizen of the Republic of Nigeria, who arrived in the city on business. It is reported by UNN with reference to the Kharkiv regional laboratory center of the Ministry of health of Ukraine.

At carrying out of epidemiological investigation it is established that the patient 01.08.2018 there were complaints of weakness, dry mouth, increased body temperature to 39 C, pain in the abdomen and diarrhea.

For the first time people have sought medical help 04.08.2018 substation of emergency medical care №1, the carriage of which is delivered in municipal health care institution Regional clinical hospital and was hospitalized with a diagnosis of malaria. During clinical investigation with the patient the diagnosis was confirmed.

Recall that malaria is a group of vector-borne diseases, which is transmitted from a sick to a healthy person by Anopheles mosquitoes and occurs with fever, chills, drenching sweat.

In 2018 in the region, one person was sick with malaria.

We will remind, in February in Kharkiv recorded a case of malaria. The disease in Ukraine brought a citizen of the Republic of Cameroon, who was in the capital, Yaounde.
