KIEV. July 15. UNN. The driver, who is in Kharkiv knocked down on the sidewalk the stroller in which was a five-month-old boy who died in a traffic accident, it is declared suspicion. This was announced by the Department of communication of the police in Kharkiv region, reports UNN.
“The driver that hit a child in a stroller, was detained. He announced on suspicion of committing a criminal offence. The man is in a temporary detention facility. According to the results of the medical examination the driver was sober”, – stated in the message.
Investigation opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 286 (violation of traffic safety or transport operation by the persons operating vehicles) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The man is detained as article 208 Criminally-the procedural code of Ukraine. To it threatens till 8 years of imprisonment. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds.
We will remind that road accident has occurred on July 14 at about 18.00 on Gagarin Avenue. 28-year-old driver of “VAZ” has not coped with management, drove onto the sidewalk and hooked on the stroller, which was five-month-old boy. In the accident the child received injuries incompatible with life. His mother with closed cherepno-a brain trauma and a brain concussion is in hospital.
