In Kharkov 87% of the unemployed have higher education

About half of the unemployed Ukrainians have higher education in Kharkov, there are 87%.

This was stated by acting head of the State employment service Valery Yaroshenko, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

“On the account in service today, about 45% of Ukrainians have higher education in big cities such as Kiev, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, this indicator is above 80%. In Kharkov 87% of unemployed people registered with higher education. This suggests that the majority of vacancies for the trade unionists, and those who are looking for work, higher education, and this imbalance does not allow for quick employment,” he said.

Yaroshenko said that today in Ukraine about 80% of high school graduates go to universities and only 20% receive vocational education.

“In Europe, the situation has reversed – 70% have qualification of “professional tool” and 30% – higher education,” he said.
