KIEV. June 2. UNN. In Odessa held a flashmob in support of the Odessa sailor Andrew Novichkova, who for more than a year in Iranian prison. He faces hanging. “Flashmob from friends of Andrei Novichkova in support of the Odessa seaman, who for more than a year is held by Iran,” wrote DOE, noting that the event took place in Victory Park in Odessa.

Besides, on the official Internet representation of the President of Ukraine posted a petition on the protection of the citizen of Ukraine Andrei Novichkova from the death penalty.

“January 17, 2017 at 8:37 on the ship Arezoo, under the flag of Iran, the port of registry Qeshm the incident occurred. Junior ordinary seaman Mohammad Bahranpoor, nationality Iranian, jumped overboard. A witness to this event was Andrey Beginners. He immediately, as required by the Maritime code, raised the alarm and organized the rescue work. The body of the sailor was not found. On arrival in Iran Andrew A. Novichkova removed from the vessel and taken to court where he was charged with the murder,” reads the petition.

Also stated that the case Novichkova conducted in the Persian language, which he does not understand why Ukrainians do not know what and based on what facts he is accused.

The appellants urged that the President considered the case.
