The Islamic Republic of Iran declared persona non grata Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of great Britain in Tehran Robert Maquieira. It is reported on his page on “Twitter” Iranian correspondent for NBS News Ali Arouzi.

The reason for this behavior was the arrest of the Iranian guards of a British diplomat and its accusation to coordinate riots and protests in the capital. Recall, it happened after the Iranian authorities admitted their guilt in the destruction of the aircraft “Boeing – 737” the Ukrainian airline “MAU”.

The reporter reports that the Iranian government demanded Maquieira in the shortest possible time to leave the country, then in the center of Tehran gathered supporters of the regime and burned a portrait of the diplomat.

“Diplomatic spat between Iran and Britain continues after the British Ambassador was able to calculate the protests. In the law it says that if it does not respect international law, he must immediately leave the country because he is now a persona non grata in Iran. At the same time, government supporters burned the image Ambassador together with American and British flag,” – said the journalist.

British Ambassador to Iran Robert Makar repeatedly arrested by the Iranian police during mass protests in Tehran: the authorities accuse him of deliberate incitement to aggressive sentiments of the protesters against the government of the country. At the same time, the Ambassador himself denies all allegations: said that anyone that did not call and just came to honor the memory of those killed in the crash.

As we reported earlier, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland Hamid Baidinejad fiercely rushed to the defense of his country in the literal sense of the word and completely forgot about diplomatic manners. He moved to cry, when journalists began to ask him awkward questions about the involvement of Tehran to the destruction of the wreckage of the Ukrainian plane with bulldozers.

At the same time the adviser of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Andrey Ermak said that Ukrainian experts did everything to Iran pleaded guilty regarding the collapse of the liner in Tehran. Ukrainian Commission on investigation of the crash MAU did a great job and continues to figure out all the details of the tragedy.
