In Germany, increased the number of suspects in the crime immigrants
Uncategorized April 23, 2017In Germany, the number of migrants suspected of committing crimes increased in 2016 by 52.7 percent to 174 438 people. It is reported by the German newspaper Die Welt , citing data from police criminal statistics (PKS) of the Federal office for criminal cases.
For 2016 police statistics took into account 616 230 suspects in the crimes of foreigners. The number of migrants who have recently arrived in the country, represents more than a quarter of the total number of suspects.
Migrants, including asylum beneficiaries, amount to no more than 2% of the total population of Germany, but compared with the total number suspected of committing criminal offenses, the number is 8.6%. Most often migrants are suspected pocket and burglaries, bodily injuries, rape and sexual harassment.
The publication notes that 31% of all suspects of immigrants accused of committing several crimes.
The statistics do not take into account already granted asylum in Germany, but in the future – to report PKS-2017 – and this large group may be included in police statistics.
